Our group of 25 people started the walk from Whitford Beach alongside the Turanga Creek estuary. Beautiful
water views, green pastures and horses grace the walkway. Then we continue to walk towards Ayrlies Garden
Wetlands. The wetlands loop walk, providing opportunities to see diverse birdlife. Walk along gravel
paths and boardwalks through scenic native bush and out across large swathes of wetlands, a serene and
beautiful walk. The Ayrlies Wetlands, established in 2001 on land that was once a salt marsh, is a remarkable
haven for native flora and fauna.
Michelle shared a devotion on Leaving a Legacy. Leaving a legacy
should define legacy as the lasting impact we make through our values, actions and kindness, not just
money & possessions. "Store up your treasures in heaven." (Matthew 6:20) Earthly possessions fade, but
lives touched for Christ last forever. Leaving a legacy is not about being remembered for who we are,
but about pointing others to who God is.
We concluded our 2 hours walk at 4pm. Thank you Lord
for the glorious weather.
