At 8:30am, a group of 18 people tramped the famous and pleasant Coast to Coast Walkway in Auckland. We
walked from Onehunga, through One Tree Hill and Cornwall Park, enjoyed a lovely morning tea/ice-cream
at the park's café, and continued around the neighbourhoods of Epsom, Remuera, Mt Eden, greeted by colourful
blossoming of all sorts of flowers and plants from different houses. A blessed day, not so hot, cloudy
all the way through.
We walked up to Mt Eden summit, then through Auckland Domain, Winter Garden,
Auckland University, on the way a large tree came down over the track which had brought vines with it.
There are so many historic buildings alongside talking to us and saying hello.
While we walked
to Auckland Domain, there were 7 left and arranged bus or some other way back home. Finally, we finished
at Britomart about 2pm with 11 people remained, we took photo at the giant Christmas Tree and the big
red and green Christmas baubles. From there, most people returned to their cars at the start point by
train.
