17 members went out to visit White's Beach north of Piha. We set out from the North Piha carpark at 2:50pm
along the beach and on to the Laird Thompson Track. This well formed track climbed up through bush, and
we took a side track to the Te Waha Point lookout for views of Piha and White's beaches. We returned
to the main track and carried on down to White's Beach. The original steep track to the beach with its
tricky roped section over the rocks has been replaced by an easy well-formed track right down to the
sand. Most of our group chose to go on to Fishermans Rock Point, a rougher climb but still easy to tackle,
for more views of the rugged west coast.

On returning to White's Beach we had our devotions time. Tina shared about how God went on ahead
to lead the Israelites guiding them by day with a pillar of cloud and by night with a pillar of fire
(Exodus 13:21-22). These people had hope because of this. With the Covid19 lockdown and the effects it
has had on businesses and the economy, Christian people are facing uncertainty and losing their jobs.
We don't know where God will lead us, but we need to trust Him as He strides on ahead to guide us along.
