Twenty people met at Bracken Ave at 9am, where we introduced ourselves and said a prayer before we went
in 5 cars to Te Rau Puriri Regional Park. We arrived to a phenomenal, stunning and beautiful view of
the farm park. The walk began downhill through the fields between the curious cows and relaxed sheep,
before coming to an open area to have our morning tea. There were many photo opportunities of such breath
taking sceneries before descending to the peaceful beach to have our lunch with magnificent views of
Kaipara Harbour.
Kim's devotions focused on Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God" a reading
from Word for Today. She encouraged us to take time aside to spend with God and listen to him.
After
lunch, we were split into 2 groups, with an easy and a more challenging option. The walk concluded with
both groups meeting at the car park before setting off. What a great treat to have real fruits (strawberries)
ice cream after our walk for some of us.
