The total party was made up of 12 people with two being 15 years and under. We all meet at Waiti stream
car park the with the group from Bracken Ave all arriving on time at 9.00am.
After the introductions
and prayer we started along the track rising to look out over the main Bethells beach stopping for photos.
The track is well used by day walkers, adventure runners and dogs. We walked on to stop for morning tea
overlooking O’Neills Beach on the ridge to the north, the views are great with the weather just right
for a day trip. From here the track follows the coast line and is reasonable with few step section to
raise the heart rate. We stopped at 12.00 pm but by then the good had spilt into two groups the fast
and the slow which meant two different lunch groups.
