Twenty five terrific trampers met at the Te Aroha Domain to celebrate Steve's 50th birthday and to sing
to Rosemary celebrating at home before enjoying the two hour walk up Te Aroha directly from the town
despite the cloud and threat of rain. The cloud obliterated the view but there was warm fellowship as
we sheltered in the broadcasting building entrance to eat lunch and share in devotions. Phillip Norton
told of Fathers in the Bible especially the heavenly Father Jesus taught of. A quick descent the same
way brought us into the sunshine by 3pm and the choice of an enjoyable spa or an early return home. The
expected rain arrived after we had departed.
