A group of 33 adults and 3 children met at the end of Milford Road on a hot sunny Sunday afternoon. We walked along the beach towards Takapuna Beach till we reached Brett Road. Then we headed up to Hurstmere Road and walked along that road to Kitchener Road and down towards Lake Pupuke. Unfortunately the Lake was higher than usual and we could not walk as much around the lake as we had hoped to. We stopped at Sylvan Park and sat under a lovely shady tree to admire the lake view; then we walked through the park and onto the boardwalk to the local school. We were able to walk through the back streets into Milford where most of us went to Milford Mall for refreshments! The group made their way back to their cars when they were ready.
