A group of 18 enjoyed a walk down the new walkway from the end of of Ara Weiti Road through bush to the
Karepiro Bay foreshore, and on to Stillwater. We set out at about 2:25pm after the usual intros and karakia.
Unfortunately we didn't get to have a look at Dacre Cottage, instead we followed the foreshore as the
tide was out.

Our afternoon tea break was at 3:30pm, and Diana gave the devotions. This has been a year of change.
Change can be difficult, we like to hold on to the familiar things of life. Maybe God has a plan for
us to help us grow, and this requires to move out of our comfort zone. Change can be exciting if we are
stuck in the mediocracy of life, such as a boring job or home. 2000 years ago Jesus enabled us to have
a new start. We all have a past, for some it may be memorable, others it may be horrible. We serve the
God who loves to plan ahead for his children. We need to stop looking back on the negatives of our lives.
A new start is available to you no matter where you have been. Jesus died to save and give us a brand
new start.

One of our group was feeling a bit unwell, so they and one of the others stayed put while the rest
of the group went on the level track to Stillwater, and return the same way. When they returned the unwell
person walked with one from their car load on to Stllwater while the rest of group returned along the
clifftop walkway as the tide was coming in before returning along the new walkway back to the carpark.
