About 35 people showed up at the Eden Community Church for the Summer Tramps Reunion last night. We had a yummy pot-luck BBQ before gathering in the church lounge to see a very interesting presentation of slides from the summer tramps to Lake Daniells, Old Ghost Road (which included a quiz from Murray Black), St James Walkway, Sumner Forest Park and Manawatu-Whanganui. Proposals for the 2017-18 Summer Tramps were put forward - Stewart Island, Routeburn, Greenstone Caples, and Kepler Tracks. Club president Paul Ungemuth finished the evening with devotions in which he asked why there is the wonder and majesty of God's creation everywhere - because it tells us of our Creator and His love for us. Jesus is God revealing Himself through His love. We are important to God, He has a place for us (John 14). Jesus says that He is the way, truth and life, and nobody comes to the Father except through Him.
