A group of 18 people did an interesting walk from Parnell to St Heliers this afternoon. We set out at
2pm from the carpark at the foot of the Parnell Rose Gardens to walk through Dove-Myer Robinson Park
down to Judges Bay, where we saw some people swimming in the water already.

From there we carried along the track above the Parnell Baths which were getting prepared for the
summer season. We went on to Tamaki Drive and walked along to the other end of Hobson Bay and up steps
to Paritai Drive, viewing many of the posh and expensive houses this drive is famous for.

We had our break at Okahu Bay reserve at 3pm, but we didn't have devotions this time.

From there we went up to Bastion Point and had a look at some of the old gun emplacements that had
been made for a possible attack from Japan in World War II that never eventuated, fortunately.

We went on past the Michael Joseph Savage memorial and down to Mission Bay, to carry on along Tamaki
Drive to finish at St Heliers about 4:45pm.
