A group of 9 people walked the Orewa Estuary, setting out at 2pm. We enjoyed sunshine and ice cream
in Little Lilly's cafe.
For our devotions Christine read the poem Greenness by Joy Cowley. Joy
feels a deep connection with God through nature, particularly in the lushness of green surroundings.
She describe experiencing God's presence in the sounds and sights of plants and trees. Joy acknowledges
her tendency to complicate communication and appreciates God's simplicity. Being in nature brings a sense
of peace and helps her remember her true self, which is vibrant and linked to God. For her, returning
to this greenness feels like coming home, filled with grace and tranquility.
We finished at 4:30pm,
having walked 8km.
