A group of 30 people did a walk around, up and down Mt Eden. We got to explore hidden paths, secret
gardens that only the real locals know. There was also a priceless and prize-less treasure hunt list
that you could tick off as you found them. We also found a tree with soft broad leaves that featured
the Mountain "Whau". Hence the name Maungawhau for Mt Eden.

Jill led devotions on the Peace of God. Peace means trusting God.

We also had a look at the Louis Adolphus Durrieu Reserve on Mt Eden Rd, which was originally the
front part of his property. This was gifted by his daughter Pauline to Mt Eden Borough Council in 1985,
and a formal garden established to reflect the original period. The original homestead, now a private
residence, sits behind the reserve.

The pleasant afternoon walk was finished off with a delicious drink (Iced Chocolate for some) at
Ironique, a café in the Mt Eden Village.
