A group of intrepid trampers completed the 5 kms Beachlands Maraetai walk. This relatively new walkway
and cycleway passes the picturesque beaches and reserves along the coast with great views of the Hauraki
Gulf, Waiheke Island and the Coromandel Peninsula. It was particularly pleasant being able to walk close
to the water's edge on such a lovely summers day. We stopped for a break near the Omana reserve and Jules
shared the devotions which included a song called "All is well". The theme was to trust God and all
will be well. At the walk's end, some of us took the chance have an ice cream at the cafe and then jumped
off the Maraetai wharf and enjoyed a swim. Others were keen to repeat the experience and so walked back
to the start at Beachlands.
