roup of 18 participants met at the Somerville Road carpark to start off the walk at 2pm. We were blessed
with sunny weather despite the forecast of a cloudy day. One historical archaeologist site was identified.
The sites containing refuse left by the Maori. This includes leftover shells from their food preparation,
charcoal and burned hangi stones. Overall the tracks were well maintained except for two fallen trees
on the footpath. The views of the bushline with mangroves and the beach were amazing.
We stopped
at Shelley Park for snack and devotions. Michelle shared "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" a tale
of two sisters. The power of ONE thing is the focus ie. sitting down at Jesus' feet.
The whole
walk took about 2 hours and we finished at the carpark at 4.10pm.
