A group of 15 people had a good hike from the Long Bay shops to the beach at the north end of the Long
Bay Regional Park, and return. After our usual in-circle prayer and intro we set out from Streamview
Way at 2:15pm. We followed the Coastal Walk as it meandered an undulating course through grass land and
patches of bush, with views out to the Hauraki Gulf. The track finished at the Long Bay headland down
on the foreshore near the entrance to Okura River, where we had a short break about 3:30pm. We retraced
our footsteps back to the south end of Pohutukawa Bay for a belated afternoon tea stop about 4:15pm.

Christine Sherson gave the devotions relating to the Christmas season. Christ is our source of peace.
In Philippians 4 He says Do not be anxious, but present your requests to God in prayer with thanks. And
the peace of God, which passes all understanding will guard your hearts and minds. Christine shared Isaiah
11:6-9 the wolf will sit down with the lamb, there will be no fear of ferocious animals. We will be entering
and experience living in harmony with God and one another. With our salvation through Christ and His
peace we have no fear of the unknown. Jesus is the Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father
and Prince of Peace.
