A group of 11 met at Brugato Place in Chatswood for a walk through Kauri Point Centennial Park to Chelsea
and return. We set off at 2:10pm after our intros and prayer and entered the bush reserve to drop down
to Kendall Bay then continue up and along the clifftop bush track. The going was muddy in places, requiring
the use of sturdy footwear and walking poles or sticks of wood. We had views out across the Waitemata
Harbour to Auckland city central and the harbour bridge. The track came out to the road to the Chelsea
Sugar Refinery, and we arrived at the refinery carpark beside the foreshore at 3:15pm. We had our afternoon
tea break in a shelter at the carpark overlooking Duck Creek.

Sonia presented devotions on the verse Trust in the Lord with all your heart (Proverbs 3:5). Faith
is not faith till it is tested, God is greater than our circumstances, He can work things out. There
are times when things are not working out, then suddenly this happens. Sometimes this can take months,
but God is faithful. Either believe Him and trust or get stressed, trust God regardless of circumstances.

There were plenty of sparrows, pigeons and seagulls flying around, and one of us found some pizza
scraps in a rubbish bin and threw them out to them. We left at 3:40pm for the return journey, going back
along the road and onto the bush track, taking the first right to come out at the end of Onetaunga Rd.
As we walked along Onetaunga Rd back to the start point, light rain began to fall. We were lucky with
the weather, being a showery day but no rain on our walk till it was almost over, praise God.
