It was a beautiful day when 17 people set off from Onehunga, led by Justin Coleman. We enjoyed walking
through leafy streets, lush parks, and pretty gardens. There was climbing too - to the top of One Tree
Hill and Mount Eden, to see awesome views of the Harbours - the Manukau and the Waitemata. There were
360 deg views over the city and the various volcanic mountains.

At the top of Mt Eden we stopped for lunch followed by a devotions by Barbara Steel: "Keep your hope
Alive" Hebrews 6:19 (Hope) A strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls, connecting us with God himself.
This was The Word For Today for 11 November. Stories of soldiers imprisoned during WW11, many died, but
others were only slightly damaged. Interviews with the survivors revealed a far-above-average ability
to hope!

From Mt Eden we passed by Grafton Station and into the Domain where we stopped near the duck ponds
for coffee and ice-creams. Then down the hill and up past the University, to make our way to the bottom
of Queen Street. The time was 3.30pm. 17 tired bodies, but all feeling happy and fulfilled, boarded the
bus back to Onehunga.
