There were only eleven people present this time, because the Rugby World Cup had started and there was a big game on that evening. Those who turned up to Jocelyn’s had an enjoyable evening playing 500 at two tables. There were people playing the popular tramping-hut card game for the first time; for at least one person it brought back memories of learning to play the game at their grandparents’ place after school. A yummy pot-luck supper followed.
